So in less than 2 weeks, not only are we getting Take Care from Drake AND Camp from Childish Gambino, but we also get the return of everyone’s favorite Alt Hip Hop band, Gym Class Heroes with The Papercut Chronicles II. The first Papercut Chronicles was released almost 6 years ago and we’re all being promised this album will be the follow up that As Cruel As School Children wasn’t. Let’s all hope we get what we want, but regardless, November 15th is a BIG date for all of us.

The Black Keys – Lonely Boy

This is the first single off the upcoming Black Keys album El Camino, but that’s not the most important thing here. This guy in the video is going to be a STAR.

Drake feat. Lil Wayne – The Real Her
Posted: October 21, 2011 in Hip-HopTags: Drake, Lil Wayne, OVO, YMCMB
This might as well become a Drake and Frank Ocean blog because that’s all that seems to catch my attention these days. This is better than the last track released, “I’m So Proud”. “The Real Her” is an improvement, and I’m loving the production quality on this. Take Care releases November 14th, and it doesn’t look like that date will move around any more. We can officially get excited.

Frank Ocean Announces Solo Tour, 3 Shows Only UPDATE: 3 Euro Dates
Posted: October 5, 2011 in R&BTags: Bowery Ballroom, El Rey Theater, European tour, Frank Ocean, Frank Ocean Show, Frank Ocean Tickets, Frank Ocean Tour, Los Angeles, New Orleans House of Blues, NOHOB, Odd Future, Odd Future Wolf Gang, OFWGKTA, Tour, Wolf Gang
So this sucks. There are only three dates, and these are the dates:
Nov. 5: New Orleans, LA @ House of Blues
Nov. 6: New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom
Nov. 15: Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theater
And the worst part is that if you’re looking for NYC tickets, you are seriously out of luck, because according to Def Jam’s twitter, the tickets for Bowery Ballroom sold out in 12 minutes. This is absolutely insane if you took 1 second to think about it, because there was zero indication of this small tour happening, no promotions, no twitter announcement or tumblr, nothing. How does this happen?
Anyways, if you’re still looking to get tickets at the El Ray Theater in Los Angeles or New Orleans House of Blues, go ahead and get them Ticketmaster here.
If you’re like me and not close enough to attend those three shows, you can pray that this tour expands to other cities. Otherwise, I guess you can enjoy the Thinking About You and Swim Good videos. Frank Ocean tour, I can’t believe I slept on that…

Update:
You lucky Europeans need to hop on top of these dates
11/8 – Amsterdam, Netherlands @ Bitterzoet
11/9 – Paris, France @ Le Social Club
11/11 – London, England @ XOYO
I don’t know where to get these tickets. But I’m gonna guess that if you’re too late, you’re stuck hitting up stubhub like us Americans have to. Unless stubhub doesn’t exist in Europe, in which case, I really don’t know what to tell you.
Tyga feat. Drake – Still Got It
Posted: September 30, 2011 in Hip-HopTags: Drake, Drizzy, OVO, OVOXO, Tyga, YMCMB
I’ve been so lazy with posting, but it’s good to see people still finding the page. I won’t go back and put up music that I should’ve put up from before, so let’s just keep pushin forward with this Tyga track featuring a personal favorite (go through the site and tell me you couldn’t tell) Drizzy Drake.
Who else can’t wait for Take Care?
You say you’re not excited? Maybe this isn’t the blog for you…

Bon Iver – Beth / Rest

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I put on the good headphones for this one and mistook the creaky piano bench for a serial killer slowly opening my door getting ready for the kill. Sick, I know. So let this song wash all that away for you.
